Amanda's Breaking Free Story

Growing up, I was always that skinny girl. Although, I felt everyone had a judgement against them in some sense. You’re too skinny, you’re too curvy, you’re too tall, you’re too short, you’re too pale, you’re too tan. It was a constant battle of insecurities and never embracing who I truly was with love.

As I got older, it started to occur to me that insecurities were never thought of until they were told. Eventually I started to work on loving myself for who I was and focused on mending all the negative self talk. Eventually I made a promise to myself to begin my fitness journey.

When I started it was for the main purpose to feel aesthetically happy with myself and to overcome those insecurities that lingered. Now, fitness is a part of my life for the reason of feeling good within. When you feel good inside, you radiate that on the outside.

With Xel Swimwear, they represent just that. They stand for loving yourself and all that you are, for body positivity and for radiating confidence. I am unapologetically me in my Xel Swimwear, and that is a feeling like no other.
